!!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! I was going to buy a harness and solder up my own battery, but I kept putting it off and ended up buying a one from ML-Toys. Now that the weather is nicer, my daughter is thrilled to have it back. Photo/Video dump after the break if you’re into ride-ons.

Still 12V, so not fast. I’m probably going to need to bump it to 18 or 24V later this year as the kids grow.

Hmm. Actually wouldn’t be too hard to do. Would just need one that fit under the hood and then solder some battery cables from a junkyard to the Power Wheels harness. Could charge it with an automotive battery tender. The battery I got for it is a UB12120 that already has more capacity than the crappy stock Power Wheels one.

my friend did one for his son....... best i can recollect, about nearly the only thing he did was trim back the leads, that went to the battery, and put battery terminal ends on it, might of extended them so to reach........ but make no mistake there was nothing complicated about it......

one of my OTHER friends did a me too for HIS nephew. the other 19 yr old nephew test drove it. scooted him along with EASE....... and that was with a worn out pwrwhls. first thing that usually gives up in them is the gears in the reduction boxes, and after those, its the tires wear holes.

we just bungee corded the battery (group 31) in the cargo compartment

Yeah the gearboxes are crap. The gears are all plastic. Someone makes replacements with CNC-milled metal gears. It’s about $200 for the pair but they can handle a pretty big power upgrade. I’ll probably go that way eventually. Hey you don’t own a GMT400 too do you? I say what looked like an early 90's 1500 on Bandera at 1560 yesterday that had about 5 different colors body panels and a rusted hood.
